Guandan combinations

Every combination kawu's Guandan accepts. For the basics, see the Guandan rules. The examples are at level 2; a card with the "wild" badge is a wild heart.

Single, pair, triple

88Single JJJJJJPair 444444Triple

Two identical jokers make a pair (two small or two big); a small and a big joker don't.

Three with a pair

Only the triple counts when comparing.

Straight

Exactly five cards in sequence, any suits, no jokers:

No wrapping: Q K A 2 3 is not a straight.

Bombs

Four to ten cards of one rank. More cards beat fewer; the same size compares by rank:

Straight flush

A straight in one suit. It is a bomb: above five cards, below six.

Using wild cards

At level 5, each 5♥ can stand for any card except a joker:

99999955Makes a four-card bomb 8899JJJQQQ55Fills the 10 in a straight QQQQQQQQQKKK55Three with a pair

When cards can be read more than one way, kawu takes the strongest reading (a bomb if possible). When beating a play, it takes the reading that beats it.

Bomb order

4 cards < 5 cards < straight flush < 6 < 7 < 8 < 9 < 10 cards < four jokers

Frequently asked questions

Can a Guandan straight have six cards?

No. A straight is exactly five cards, three pairs exactly three pairs, and two triples exactly two triples.

Can jokers be part of a straight?

No. Jokers never appear in sequences, and wild cards can't stand in for jokers.
