Ludo Strategy: 7 Tips
- Get tokens out early. More tokens on the board means a better choice with every roll.
- Use the safe squares. Stars and start squares can't be attacked; wait there when rivals are behind you.
- Mind the six squares behind you. Any rival token 1 to 6 squares behind can land on you.
- Capture the leader. Sending back a token that's nearly home costs its owner the most.
- Build blocks. Two of your tokens together stop rivals landing there.
- Spread the risk. Racing one token alone leaves the others stuck in base.
- Count to home. With an exact roll needed, keep a token close enough that several numbers can finish it.
On hard, the computer weighs the danger on every square and goes after your most advanced tokens. Play Ludo or read the rules.
Frequently asked questions
Should you bring a token out or move one already on the board with a 6?
Early on, bring a token out: more tokens on the board means more choices. Later, move a token that is in danger or can capture.
