How to play
- A 40-card deck: ace, 2 to 7, jack, queen and king in each suit. Three cards each.
- The card under the deck names the trump suit, the briscola.
- You never have to follow suit. A trick is won by the higher card of the suit led, or by a trump.
- Aces are worth 11 points, threes 10, kings 4, queens 3, jacks 2. That's 120 in all.
- The trick winner draws first and leads. More than 60 points wins; 60 each is a draw.
