Mini Golf Tips
- Firm, not fast. The ball has to be slowing down when it reaches the cup. Aim to roll a little past it if you miss.
- Bank with mirrors. The ball comes off a wall at the angle it went in. Imagine the cup reflected in the wall and aim straight at the reflection.
- Play safe near water. A penalty stroke plus a replay costs two. Take the longer, dry route.
- Stay out of the sand. It kills the ball's speed; go round it, or hit firmly enough to roll through.
- Use the bumpers. A bumper can redirect a ball into a spot you can't reach directly.
- Leave an easy next putt. On long holes, aim for the open, flat area near the cup rather than the cup itself.
The computer on hard reads the course well; easy misses often. Hint shows a good line and strength. Play mini golf or read the rules.
Frequently asked questions
How do you aim a bank shot in mini golf?
The ball leaves a wall at the same angle it arrives. Picture the cup's mirror image behind the wall and aim at that.
