How to Play Number Path
Number Path is the orthogonal cousin of the number-snake puzzles: a winding trail of consecutive numbers that fills the whole grid, with only a few waypoints shown.
The rules
- The grid holds the numbers 1 to n², each once.
- Consecutive numbers are neighbours: each number shares a side with the next.
- Some numbers are given. 1 and n² always are. Fill the rest.
Playing on kawu
- Tap a square, then type its number (or tap a number on the pad below). Typing a number that's already placed elsewhere moves it.
- Lines join consecutive numbers you've placed; a number shown in red isn't next to its neighbour in the sequence.
- Undo steps back; Hint fixes a wrong entry or places the next number along the path.
- Sizes 5×5, 6×6, 7×7; the daily puzzle is a 6×6 shared by everyone.

Frequently asked questions
Do diagonal neighbours count?
No. Consecutive numbers must share a side: up, down, left or right.
Can the path cross itself?
No. Every square holds exactly one number, so the path visits each square once and never crosses.
