How to Play Onet Connect
Onet Connect (known in China as 连连看, and similar to Shisen-sho) is a quick tile-matching puzzle: clear the board by removing matching pairs.
Rules
- Tap a tile, then an identical tile.
- The two must be joined by a line of at most three straight segments (two turns).
- The line passes only through empty spaces, and may go round the outside of the board.
- If they can be joined, both disappear.
Shuffles
When no pair on the board can be joined, the tiles left are shuffled automatically; the count appears above the board.
Winning
Clear the board. Your time is your score.
On kawu
Three sizes (6×10, 8×12, 8×16), every deal checked to be clearable. On a tall phone screen the board is shown on its side. Hint shows a pair; there's a daily board with a time to beat. Play Onet or read the tips.
Frequently asked questions
How many turns can the line make in Onet?
Two at most: the line is up to three straight segments, through empty spaces only. It may go round the outside of the board.
What if no pair can be matched?
kawu reshuffles the tiles left (same tiles, new places) so there's always a pair, and counts the shuffles.
