How to Play Word Scramble
Word Scramble is the newspaper anagram in its plainest form: a handful of shuffled letters, one word hiding in them.
The rules
- A common word of five, six or seven letters is shuffled.
- Put the letters in order to spell it. Any other common word using exactly the same letters is accepted.
- Submit when all slots are full. A wrong word clears the slots and counts a miss.

Tap the letter tiles in order or type on your keyboard; Back takes the last letter off. Hint places the next correct letter (taking back wrong ones first). Choose 5, 6 or 7 letters; the daily word is a six-letter word shared by everyone, timed.

What if the letters spell more than one word?
Any common word made of exactly those letters is accepted, so LEARN and RENAL both solve the same scramble. The result shows the word we had in mind.
