How to play
- Only the dark squares are used. Four hounds start on the top edge, the fox at the bottom.
- The fox moves one square diagonally, forwards or backwards.
- A hound moves one square diagonally forward only. Nothing is ever captured.
- The fox wins by reaching the top edge; the hounds win by trapping it so it can't move.
- With perfect play the hounds win: the fox needs the hounds to slip.
