How to Play Traffic Jam
Traffic Jam is a sliding puzzle set in a packed car park.
The rules
- The lot is 6 × 6. Cars are two squares long, lorries three.
- A vehicle only moves along its own direction, forwards or backwards, and can't pass through another vehicle.
- The red car sits in the third row. Get it to the exit on the right edge of that row.
- Sliding one vehicle any distance is one move.
On kawu
- Drag a vehicle along its row or column, or focus it and use the arrow keys.
- Every puzzle is new and shows the fewest moves it can be solved in; the counter compares your moves to it.
- The hint shows the next move of a shortest solution from where you are.
- The daily jam is the same for everyone; the result is your number of moves.
Frequently asked questions
Can a car turn in Traffic Jam?
No. A vehicle placed across only ever moves left and right; one placed down only moves up and down.
What counts as one move?
