1. Find the rim
Look for a loop of connected dots and spread it around the edge of the board as a big polygon. Most crossings vanish at once.
2. Inside the right face
A dot joined to three dots on the rim belongs inside the triangle they form. Put each remaining dot in the region bounded by its neighbours.
3. Big moves first
Moving one dot a long way usually fixes several crossings. Fiddling with small adjustments comes last.
4. Watch for dots on lines
Even with no crossings, a dot lying exactly on another line keeps the puzzle unsolved. Nudge it one point off.
5. Use the lattice
Dots snap to a grid, so straight lines along rows, columns and diagonals are easy to read. A hint moves one dot towards a known solution when you are stuck.

Find a cycle of dots that could form the outer boundary and spread them around the edge of the lattice. Everything else goes inside, each dot in the face formed by the dots it connects to.
