How to Play Air Hockey
Air Hockey is the arcade table where the puck floats on air: fast, loud, and over in a minute.
How to play
- You defend the bottom goal; the computer defends the top. Each paddle stays in its own half.
- Move your paddle with the mouse, your finger or the arrow keys.
- Hit the puck: it leaves at the speed of your paddle, so flick for power and nudge for control.
- The puck bounces off the side walls. Use the banks.
- A puck that crosses the goal line in the goal mouth scores. The player who conceded serves: the puck sits in their half until they hit it.
- First to seven wins.
Settings and pausing
- Two computer speeds: Normal and Fast.
- Space pauses; switching tabs pauses for you; the game is saved if you close the page.

Frequently asked questions
Why can't I cross the centre line?
As on a real table, each player stays in their own half. Your paddle stops at the line, so hit the puck toward the far goal from your side.
How do I hit the puck harder?
Move your paddle faster as it strikes. The puck picks up the paddle's speed, so a quick flick sends it flying; a slow nudge just rolls it.
