How to play
- Four players in two partnerships, 13 cards each. You sit South; your partner is North.
- Starting left of the dealer, each player once passes or bids 7 to 13 tricks, higher than the standing bid. All passing redeals.
- The highest bidder names the trump suit (the tarneeb) and leads. Follow suit if you can; otherwise play anything.
- If the bidding team takes at least its bid, it scores the tricks it took (26 for all thirteen). Otherwise it loses the bid and the defenders score their tricks.
- First partnership to 31 points wins.
